Installation Help

FITTING GUIDE

  • Suitable for indoor use only.
  • Fitting surface must be dry and in good condition.
  • Fit panels at room temperature or slightly less.
  • Continuous ventilation is necessary when panels are fitted to walls and ceilings in humid areas.
  • Use silicone sealing mastic in the groove on the back of the lip for a water tight seal when fitting panels in wet areas particularly around the shower or bath area.
  • When fitting panels to a false ceiling, or using them to form part of the ceiling itself, allow for at least a 100mm gap above the panels/boards for the heat to disperse. Not following this guidance could mean the panels may distort from heat.
  • When fitting panels around a cooking hob install a sheet of glass or modern splash back panel between the hob and the panels.
  • These panels could be compromised if fitted in areas that have large temperature fluctuations
  • Whilst these panels are produced with the greatest possible care, we do advise checking the panels for size, colour differences and damage. We cannot accept returns once the panels have been fitted.

MEASURING:

  • Measure each wall in mm.
  • Divide each wall measurement by the panels width in mm.
  • Round up any fractions to give the number of panels required for that wall.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

Before fitting check the surface is even. If uneven then battens must be fixed at 40cm intervals. Leave small gaps to aid ventilation somewhere on each row of battens. Battens can be screwed, nailed or glued to the wall. Glue can be water based grab adhesive, solvent based grab adhesive, silicone or MS-Polymer.

FITTING OF ACCESSORIES:

  • If the panels are fitted on battens, accessories have to be fitted with a bushing
  • Drill a hole in the panels, insert a packing piece (bushing) to it, and then insert the screw; this helps prevent the panel being crushed when something is screwed tightly to the wall
